Privacy and cookies

CylinderForge is a car guide and F1 information site. This page explains what personal data we process and why (GDPR and Turkish KVKK notice).
What we process
- If you create an account: username, email address (or the email and name from a provider such as Google or GitHub if you sign in with one), only a one-way hash of your password if you use one, and only the public key if you use a passkey. If you give an optional recovery email, it is used only to send a password reset link; you can leave it empty and remove it from your profile at any time.
- Content you create: favorites, cars and service records in your garage, F1 predictions and votes, league and fantasy picks, and the email you give for fault or recall alerts.
- Technical data: your IP address is used briefly in memory to handle the request, limit abuse and estimate your country; it is not written to the database.
- Statistics: we count how many times each page is opened per day. This is not linked to a person, an IP address or a cookie.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed to run the site, so no consent banner is shown. There are no advertising, tracking or profiling cookies.
__Host-sid: keeps you signed in (if you did). Removed when you sign out.langand country preference: remember your language and market.
Who can see your data
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. The following providers run the site:
- Hostinger (Germany): server.
- Supabase (AWS Stockholm, EU): database.
- Cloudflare: speeds up and protects traffic; your requests pass through it.
- If you sign in with Google, GitHub or similar, that provider verifies your login.
Retention and your rights
Account data is kept while your account exists. On your profile page you can change your username, sign out everywhere and delete your account; deleting it removes your data. Under GDPR and KVKK article 11 you have the right to access, correct, erase, object to processing and data portability.

Sources and disclaimer
Car information is compiled data and may be wrong; have a car inspected before buying. The F1 section is an independent fan site with no official connection to Formula 1, the FIA or any team; its data sources are listed on the F1 page. We will update the date above if this text changes.
