Calculate cost

What does it cost you to run a car each year? Pick 1–3 cars, enter your own mileage and prices, and compare fuel, servicing and fault allowance side by side.

The prices in the form are example starting values, not current prices. Enter your own current prices. Results are estimates, not quotes.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 220 d EQ Boost 200 PS
Fuel / energy 40,425 ₺
Scheduled service 12,800 ₺
Fault allowance (estimate) 0 ₺
Insurance + tax 0 ₺
Repair share range (optimistic – pessimistic) 0 ₺ – 0 ₺
Yearly total 53,225 ₺
Yearly total range 53,225 ₺ – 53,225 ₺
Confidence of the estimate Low
Monthly 4,435 ₺
Per km 3.55 ₺
Total over 5 years 266,125 ₺

The repair share is an assumption, not a statistic: the optimistic case uses the lowest repair cost at half the probability, the pessimistic case the highest cost at 1.6 times the probability. Real costs can fall outside this range.

If you have not entered a service cost, half of it is assumed for electric cars and 1.6 times for premium brands.

Insurance and tax are 0: this is not the total cost of ownership, only the calculated running cost.

How is this calculated?

  • Fuel/energy = yearly km × consumption × unit price. Consumption blends the city and highway figures by your city share; if they are missing, the combined figure is used.
  • Servicing = number of services per year (yearly km ÷ service interval, or the time limit if that is larger) × cost per service.
  • Fault allowance = average repair cost of the recorded faults × an assumed probability by severity (high 50%, medium 30%, low 15%) × yearly km ÷ 200,000 km. This is an assumption, not a guarantee.
  • Depreciation = (purchase price − resale value) ÷ years. If no purchase price is entered it is not counted.
